Malabari Gosht

Malabari Gosht

ingredients:

I tsp chili
500g boneless mutton- cut in cubes
juice of 2 lemon
2 doz baby onions
2 fresh coconut
1 piece cinnamon
a few cloves
2 tbsp oil
1 tsp crushed garlic
l doz baby potatoes (or large ones cut)
salt and pepper to taste
2 whole green chilies- slit

Recipe:


Extract coconut milk, but keep 1st extract aside. Pour

not water over grated coconut again and keep the 2nd
extract separately.

To mutton add lemon juice, spices, and 2 cups water.

Boil till tender. Strain and keep mutton and stock separately.

Heat oil and fry potatoes till lightly browned. Add

mutton and the 2nd coconut extract and stock to the pot.
When potatoes are nearly are done, add onions and simmer for
Few minutes.

Now add the first thick extract of coconut milk. Bring to boil

and serve immediately, garnish with greens.
